StreetCard was founded by Laura A. Prendergast, a formerly homeless person who experienced firsthand the challenges of navigating the systems designed to help people in need. That lived experience became the foundation for a better way.
Our Mission
StreetCard exists to streamline the delivery of benefits to homeless individuals — reducing waste, expanding available resources, and improving outcomes for both the people who need help and the dedicated workers who provide it.
By connecting homeless individuals directly with service providers, StreetCard creates a more efficient, dignified, and human-centered approach to homeless services.
What We Do
